Greece organizes the 10th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR)

Greece holds the Presidency of the EU strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian region (EUSAIR) for the second time since the launch of the EUSAIR Strategy, and the presidency of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII) for the fourth time.
In this context, Greece is organizing the 10th Annual EUSAIR Forum, which will take place in Georgioupolis, Chania, Crete, from May 5 to May 8, 2025. This is the flagship event of the Strategy, marking the culmination of a full cycle of events, political and technical meetings, which were implemented throughout the Greek Presidency, which began in June 2024.
The Forum, entitled "Bridging Horizons: Strengthening Cooperation, Resilience, and Cohesion in the Adriatic-Ionian Region", is co-organized by the Ministry of National Economy & Finance and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the European Commission.
From the Greek side, the Alternate Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanassis, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tasos Hadtzivassiliou will participate.
The aim of the Greek Presidency and the Forum is to strengthen regional cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian macro-region, promote the European perspective of the Western Balkans, highlight the role of social cohesion, showcase blue skills and address climate change in the new revised Action Plan and link the EUSAIR with the future Cohesion Policy after 2027.
