Tsoukalas highlights the failure of government's policy on university police

What happened at the Athens Law School last Wednesday "revealed the absolute governmental failure of the (Prime Minister Kyriakos) Mitsotakis and New Democracy," PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson, Kostas Tsoukalas, said on Saturday in statements to Mega TV.
Tsoukalas also added that "six years ago, this government was elected with the basic promise that it would bring about a change in the security that citizens feel in every aspect of the public sphere."
He recalled that PASOK-Movement for Change had predicted the failure of the government's policy on university police and that it would prove to be a 'firework', because, he explained, "the government only sees security issues as a method to attract votes."
The PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson reiterated the proposal he had supported, according to which "the establishment of an independent protection unit that would directly refer to the institution, as is the case in the rest of Europe and the US, and a special entrance card so that we know who is entering universities."
