The Greece-UAE investment workshop was held with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Tasos Chatzivasileiou.

Senior executives of state-owned and private enterprises from the UAE, 35 leading Greek companies, as well as representatives of ministries and state agencies, participated in the proceedings. The Emirati delegation was led by the UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Dr Sultan Al Jaber, while the Greek government was represented by Tasos Chatzivasileiou. Chatzivasileiou, in his address, highlighted the continuous progress in bilateral economic relations, stressing that the workshop is taking place following PM Mitsotakis' recent visit to Abu Dhabi. He noted that the UAE is one of our strongest partners in the Arab world.

Moreover, he welcomed the meeting of the initial investment target of 4 billion euros, stressing that the Greek economy continues to offer significant investment opportunities.

Chatzivasileiou noted during his remarks that Greece's geostrategic position makes it a key gateway for the India-Middle East-Europe economic corridor. “ By working with the UAE, we can strengthen Greece's connectivity in ports, railways and logistics, enhancing connectivity and trade flow,” he said.
