Mitsotakis: Supporting sports requires investment in infrastructure

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited on Friday the Olympic Facilities of Paiania, where the track and field as well as fencing athletes are training.
The facilities are operating again under the supervision of the OAKA.
"From the beginning, it was a big bet for our government to utilize facilities that had been built for the Olympic Games, which unfortunately over the course of time had been abandoned," the prime minister emphasized in a statement.
Mitsotakis also said that "supporting sports requires investment in sports infrastructure" while noting that "with methodicality and interventions throughout the country, the ministry is moving in this direction and for us the greatest joy and satisfaction are the smiles of young athletes who can now play sports in conditions that are worthy of their expectations."
