The mechanical failure on the Belize-flagged cargo ship in the sea area 3.9 nautical miles northeast of Cape Kafirea was repaired by the ship's own means. 
The ship, which is carrying 1,500 metric tons of steel with 11 crew members, continues its voyage towards the port of Thessaloniki.
