Sustainable Transport and Tourism Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas, speaking at the European People's Party conference in Valencia, Spain, stressed that "the European centre-right is the most powerful political pole in Europe. A pole of stability, committed to the European ideal, which is a compass for the future of Europe".

During his bilateral meetings, he discussed strengthening the EU's infrastructure in order to achieve better connectivity within Europe and between the continent and the world. 

He also discussed issues such as the movement of goods and upgrading military mobility and referred to his initiatives to strengthen transport and tourism.
