Tsoukalas: If felony responsibilities emerge, our proposal will concern a felony

“ We will examine it thoroughly, and if the reports are indeed accurate-that individuals providing incriminating evidence against political figures or those subordinate to them have already been or will be referred for felony charges-then our proposal will also be for felony charges concerning the preliminary investigation.”

This was emphasized by PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas during an interview with SKAI on Wednesday, regarding the case file on the Tempi tragedy, which pertains to potential criminal liabilities of Christos Spirtzis and Kostas Karamanlis. He clarified, “ We are not judges, but we will submit our proposal for the establishment of a preliminary investigative committee. We have over thirty Members of Parliament.”

Tsoukalas spoke about the € 250 allowance for low-income pensioners, noting that “ there is fiscal space to remove the age limit and to include other categories of low-income pensioners beyond those receiving disability pensions, who were rightly exempted following our pressure.”

When asked to comment on the recent poll results, he assessed that “ there is an accumulated distrust in the political system, and along with the government, the other parties that have governed are also 'paying the price.' However, PASOK is a party with new political personnel, a new leader, and no recent governmental burdens.”

“ Obviously, we have collective memory and are proud of what we have contributed throughout all periods, but we speak in terms of the future,” he said, emphasizing: “ Anyone who wants a strong social state, a serious social state that distributes investment resources safely and transparently across society, and a foreign policy that positions the country with prestige-the solution is PASOK. We will also do everything we can to convince more people who are not listening to us.”
