Ships to remain docked on May 1

Ships across the country will remain docked on Wednesday due to the participation of the Panhellenic Maritime Federation (PNO) in the 24-hour strike declared by the General Confederation of Greek Workers (GSEE), in all categories of ships, on Labour Day, May 1.

The mobilization begins at 00:01 on Thursday and ends at 24:00 on the same day. The seafarers' unions are expected to hold strike rallies on that day.

"The Panhellenic Maritime Federation, as the supreme trade union body of the entire maritime workforce of our country, pays tribute to all those who fought and often gave their lives for the rights of seafarers and all workers on land," the general secretary of the PNO, Manolis Tsikalakis, said in his message.
