Bratakos meets with Georgia's Ambassador: Investments, trade and startups in focus

The President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Ioannis Bratakos, had a meeting with the Georgian Ambassador to Greece, Levan Beridze, on Wednesday.
According to a statement, during the meeting, the prospects for strengthening economic cooperation between Greece and Georgia were discussed, with an emphasis on the utilization of investment potential, the strengthening of bilateral trade, as well as the possibilities of partnership in the fields of technology, innovation and start-up entrepreneurship.
The two sides agreed to explore specific initiatives, such as the organization of joint actions for startups, the exchange of know-how between institutions and the strengthening of the interconnection of the innovation ecosystems of Greece and Georgia.
Bratakos pointed out that enhancing the extroversion of Greek entrepreneurship goes through strategic partnerships with countries that invest in knowledge, innovation and international networking. "Georgia is a rising regional power with a friendly business environment and significant cooperation opportunities. The ACCI will support every effort that supports trade, investment and joint innovation actions for the benefit of both countries," he said.
On his part, Beridze presented Georgia's strategic vision to establish itself as a regional transport and innovation hub. A central element of this strategy, as he explained, is the broad network of free trade agreements that connects Georgia with the EU, China, the US and other partners, offering significant opportunities. Meanwhile, the development of the startup ecosystem within the country further strengthens Georgia's prospects as a regional hub for investment and entrepreneurship.
ACCI noted in the announcement that it remains firmly oriented towards creating fruitful bridges of cooperation with countries that invest in stability, sustainability and the dynamics of the future.
