Sailing ban imposed at ports on Monday due to strong winds

Some ships were forbidden to sail on Monday due to strong winds in the seas which, according to the Hellenic Meteorological Service, reach up to 9 Beaufort.
According to the port authority - Greek Coast Guard, the passenger ferry Aikaterini P will not operate from the port of Piraeus at 14:45 with destinations the islands of Serifos, Sifnos, Kimolos, Folegandros, Sikinos, Ios, Thira as well as the return on Tuesday 29/04/2025 from Thira at 08:30 to Ios, Sikinos, Folegandros, Kimolos, Sifnos, Serifos, Piraeus.
Also, the Super Jet and Champion Jet catamaran routes to the Cyclades islands will not operate from Piraeus today.
The ships to Argosaronic Gulf will operate normally.
A ban is in effect from the ports of Rafina and Lavrio.
Passengers who are going to travel today are advised to contact the local port authorities and tourist agencies before their departure for any changes or modifications to their routes.
