The Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias, in a post on X, underlined that "with great honour and national pride, I visited today in a port of the United Arab Emirates the frigate "Hydra", which participates in the operation Aspides."

As Dendias noted, this is "a mission of high national and European symbolism, which confirms the strategic importance of Greece as a force for security and stability."
