Earthquakes continue in the sea area of ​​Amorgos; 4.0-magnitude earthquake in the Gulf of Patras

A new earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale was recorded in the vicinity of Amorgos on Friday, at 6:56, 227 km southeast of Athens. According to the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicentre of the earthquake was located in the sea area 23 km southwest of Arkesini, Amorgos.
Another tremor of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded earlier, at 05:35, in the sea area south of Amorgos.
Αn earthquake was also recorded at 06:25 in the areas of Achaia, Ilia and Aitoloakarnania.
More specifically, according to the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was located in the sea area 8 kilometres west-southwest of Patras, while the focal depth was at 31 kilometres.
According to the measurement of the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the tremor had a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale and the epicentre was located at a distance of 8 kilometers south-southwest of Patras.
