Three ferries from the port of Piraeus cancelled due to adverse weather conditions

Three passenger ferry routes from the port of Piraeus were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions on Wednesday. According to the Meteorological Service, the winds blowing in many sea areas reached 8 on the Beaufort scale in the Aegean and 9 in the vicinity of Karpathos.

According to the Coast Guard, the scheduled Blue Star 1 route at 07:35 for Paros-Naxos-Ios-Thira and the Fast Ferries passenger ferry route at 07:30 for Syros-Tinos-Mykonos were cancelled.

The passenger ferry route "Dionysios Solomos" at 14:15 for Serifos-Sifnos-Milos-Folegandros-Sikinos-Ios and Thira will also not be carried out.

Itineraries to Saronic Gulf are operating normally, as well as from the ports of Rafina and Lavrio.

Passengers who are going to travel are advised to contact local port authorities and tourist agencies before their departure for any changes or modifications to itineraries that may occur due to weather conditions.
