The explusion of former prime minister and New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras from the party and its parliamentary group was formally completed on Wednesday, with the reading of the relevant letter in the parliament plenary.
The 2nd vice-president of the parliament, Giorgos Georgantas, who was chairing the session, read the letter sent by current prime minister and ND president Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the president of the Parliament, Konstantinos Tasoulas, announcing that Samaras has been expelled from ND's parliamentary group.
