The trial of actor and director Petros Filippidis, who faces charges of having attempted to rape two of his colleagues, was postponed on Monday until December 5.

The court decided to suspend proceedings because the second alleged victim was absent due to illness and had not authorised her lawyers to represent her in her absence.

The actor has been acquitted of the rape of a third colleague.

His lawyer Michalis Dimitrakopoulos stated, shortly before the start of the proceedings, that the artist "from the first moment says that he is innocent," and believes that "the charges will be dismissed."
