The bill for the personal doctor and the strengthening of primary health system will be placed under consultation the end of the week or at the beginning of the next, Alternate Health Minister Irini Agapidaki said on Wednesday in a press conference.
Agapidaki reiterated the basic points of the bill, such as the financial incentives for young doctors who will choose general medicine or pathology (30,000 euros), the staffing of the personal doctor system with 2,500 more doctors, so that, as she said, all citizens to have their own personal doctor and the establishment of seven university health centers that will also undertake the part of telemedicine on the islands.
She also announced that for the first time the part of child care is being strengthened. In the first phase, there will be free coverage for more than 500,000 children.
