a) Limited Validity: For boats that:
Fly the flag of a non-EU country and are owned or controlled by individuals based in a non-EU country, or
Fly the flag of an EU member state but are owned by individuals based in a non-EU country,
Have not paid the applicable duties and taxes.
b) Indefinite Validity: For boats that:
Fly the flag of a non-EU country but are owned by individuals based in either a non-EU country or an EU member state, or
Fly the flag of an EU member state and are owned by individuals based in an EU member state,
Have paid the applicable duties and taxes.
Under current legislation, vessels with these characteristics must submit a Transit Log to the relevant Customs Office to operate freely in Greek territorial waters. The process for submitting the Transit Log and associated documents can now be completed within minutes through the myAADE digital portal.
