Education Min Pierrakakis attends 106th Hellenic University Rectors' Conference in Patras
Minister of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports Kyriakos Pierrakakis visited Patras to attend the 106th Hellenic University Rectors' Conference emphasizing on the ongoing dialogue between ministry and public universities on higher education issues.
“ Rectors’ conference provided an excellent opportunity to deepen the continuous dialogue between Ministry of Education and public universities on higher education matters," Pierrakakis stated in a post on X following the conclusion of the 106th Rectors Conference hosted by the University of Patras.
During his meetings with educational authorities in Western Greece, Pierrakakis also discussed upcoming changes in schools starting in September. "We have already talked about the digital tutoring system, the 10,000 appointments that will be made and changes in specific subjects that will begin in the next school year," he mentioned.
Additionally, Education Minister met with the Regional Governor of Western Greece Nektarios Farmakis, to discuss collaboration between the ministry and the region. The aim is to improve daily school life and connect higher education institutions with local communities.
At the Computer Technology Institute and Press "Diophantus," Pierrakakis met with President Dimitris Serpanos and other institute officials to discuss upcoming digital initiatives by the Ministry of Education and the progress of implementing the multiple textbook system.
