Kerameus: Aiming to further reduce unemployment and stimulate employment

The importance of the NSRF as a critical tool for reducing unemployment and increasing employment was emphasized by Labour Minister, Niki Kerameus, speaking at the conference "NSRF 2014-2020: A Strong Development Footprint for All".
Based on the NSRF 2014-2020, employment programmes were designed, which created many new jobs, she underlined.
The aim is to further reduce the unemployment rate and stimulate employment especially in critical social groups, such as women, young people, older unemployed people and people with disabilities.
Among the programmes are:
- the programme for young innovative entrepreneurship
- the programme for the employment 3,000 young freelancers, aged 18 to 29, with a focus on the digital economy
- the programme for the employment of young freelancers, aged 18 to 29, with an emphasis on women and
- the programme for the employment of the unemployed, aged 30 and over, in the less developed regions of the country, with an emphasis on the long-term unemployed and the unemployed of older ages.
