Kasselakis assesses the election results
Leader of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance Stefanos Kasselakis assessed the election results and extended an invitation to PASOK and Plefsi Eleftherias parties to collaborate "transparently" within the framework of parliamentary work, speaking to his party's parliamentary group, on Thursday.
Kasselakis stated that he was "not on top of the world" because "what suits SYRIZA is to take leading role," but he acknowledged that a "new political cycle has opened" after the European elections. He emphasized that the electoral messages were "loud and clear," noting that
New Democracy suffered an "unprecedented decline just one year after the elections," with Kyriakos Mitsotakis achieving the "lowest number of votes in the party's history."
He further expressed his “ pride" that SYRIZA with a "positive agenda" and "tough opposition," debunked the "41% narrative." "Now the countdown begins and this is thanks to SYRIZA" he said, highlighting that SYRIZA "endured" despite the "defiance" of those who wanted it "finished" with "single-digit percentages" despite being "hurt by the double defeat and the double division."
