The Hellenic Navy frigate Hydra - while escorting a merchant ship, as part of the EUNAVFOR ASPIDES operation - on Thursday intercepted two Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the Gulf of Aden, one of which was destroyed and the other one driven away, according to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).
The frigate then continued its mission as normal.
