Criminal proceedings were initiated by an investigating prosecutor against Independent Deputy Konstantinos Floros on Wednesday after physically attacking Elliniki Lysi Deputy Vassilis Grammenos at parliament.

Floros, a former Spartiates deputy, will be led before a prosecutor after 13:00 on Thursday to testify. Until then, he will be detained overnight at the Attica Police Headquarters.

He faces criminal charges, as parliamentary immunity does not apply in criminal offences committed in flagrante.
