Androulakis: By opening the way for the truth I also open a Pandora's Box for the government

Opposition PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis on Monday said he was certain that the way was now opening up for the truth to be revealed regarding the tapping and surveillance of his phone, following his meeting with the head of the Hellenic Authority for Communication Security and Privacy (ADAE), Christos Rammos, in the aftermath of a Council of State ruling regarding his case.
"I am certain that in paving the way for the truth in this sordid case, I also open a Pandora's Box for [Prime Minister Kyriakos] Mitsotakis and his New Democracy government, which is deeply involved in an affair that has undermined the institutions and transparency," Androulakis added.
He underlined that "this scandal is not only a political but also economic , as some made millions by trading an illegal software".
Regarding his meeting with Rammos, Androulakis said that he had asked ADAE's head to speed up the procedures. "He told me that he is waiting for the finalisation of the decision and its delivery, and will then immediately do all that is legal and proper so that I get the information I need and can, in turn, inform the Greek people as I have promised," PASOK-KINAL's leader added.
