Androulakis says a strong PASOK on June 9 will deliver a 'reliable opposition' and 'alternative' for governance

Opposition PASOK-KINAL leader Nikos Androulakis on Sunday attacked the ruling New Democracy party and main opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance in his address to PASOK-KINAL's Central Political Committee, which officially launched the party's campaign for the European elections.
"The 9th of June will sound the expiration date of the ND government," Androulakis said, in the presence of most of the PASOK's candidate MEPs. He said the party must "sign the message that Mitsotakis' time is coming to a close" and that a strong PASOK would mean that the prime minister's "arrogance is nearing its sell-by date".
On the night of the elections, he said, PASOK must be among the winners, in second place, so that the people have a strong and reliable opposition as an alternative in the next general elections, accusing ND of wanting "to avoid this at all costs, legitimate or not".
He called on voters, regardless of who they had voted for, "to united our forces so that the country has a reliable, capable, progressive opposition. This is the only way to stop the parade of arrogance, the undermining of the institutions and the underestimation of the daily problems of the Greek people."
