ACS courier inaugurates new sorting center in Egaleo; investing 50 mln euros in 5 yrs

ACS, a subsidiary of Quest Group, will invest 50 million euros in the next five years, its directors said at the inauguration Thursday of a state-of-the-art sorting center in the western suburb of Egaleo, in the presence of ministers.

National Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Digital Governance Minister Dimitris Papastergiou, and Deputy Digital Governance Minister Konstantinos Kyranakis attended the inauguration.

ACS holds a 35% share of courier services for the domestic market in Greece and 25% for the international market in Greece. It is estimated that the market today is worth 500 million euros. According to the directors, the target is to raise ACS' share of the market through new investments and to utilize the new sorting center's capabilities that will cover the company's needs for the next 10-15 years.

The company's directors said that the next five years, the 50 million euro investments will focus on the last-mile sector and the further upgrading of infrastructure - particularly the smart lockers network (from 250 lockers today to over 1,000 in the next 5 years), modernizing outlets, and building an electromobility fleet of cars and bikes for distribution.
