New Democracy (ND) leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis, in a statement on Sunday after casting his vote at a polling station in the 1st high school of Kifissia, said that this was the day when the citizens and democracy have their say, a day of joy and responsibility.

"We are voting for second time in a few weeks for the country to have a stable and effective government with a four-year horizon. I am absolutely certain that the citizens will do their duty with maturity and will vote for their personal prosperity, for their own good and the good of their families, for a stable country that will finally offer conditions of prosperity and social equality for all Greeks," Mitsotakis said.
