Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias spoke on the phone on Monday with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu to convey his condolences and Greece's readiness to support Turkiye, following the devastating earthquake that hit the country.

"Following the devastating earthquake in Southern Türkiye, I communicated with my Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu and I conveyed my condolences to the grieving families," Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said in a post on Twitter on Monday.
 "I expressed Greece's readiness to provide assistance immediately in the rescue efforts and coping with the damage," he added.
