Mitsotakis: We are implementing our commitment for a strong, secure, self-confident Greece

"We are actively implementing our commitment for our country to be strong, secure, a self-confident Greece, which can face the future with optimism," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday, addressing residents of Avlona who had gathered to welcome him on his way to an event at the Hellenic Aviation Industry (HAI) facilities in Tanagra, Viotia.
The prime minister referred to the purchase of Rafale fighter jets, stressing that 10 French aircraft are already in operation, while he briefly reviewed the government's work and harshly criticised the main opposition over its promises to pensioners.
He also called on ruling New Democracy party officials to mobilise so that "the sacrifices and efforts of the Greek people do not go to waste," while he noted that "ND does not need to supply credentials of social progressivism and populist traits," because - as he said - "we are the great popular faction of our country."
