Self-tests stock insufficient only hours before schools reopen on Monday, says KINAL

Movement for Change (KINAL) party criticized the government ahead of the scheduled reopening of the country's schools on Monday after the Christmas holiday break, in an announcement on Saturday.

"More inconvenience is in store for students, their teachers and their parents because of the situation with self-tests," said KINAL.

"There is a lack of the necessary free self-tests in many pharmacies across the country, only hours away from the reopening of schools, as reported by the Panhellenic Pharmacists' Association," noted KINAL, adding that "the lack of planning for the allocation of the necessary stock of coronavirus self-diagnostic tests (...) shows once again the superficiality and the management gaps that define the so-called 'executive government' of the New Democracy party."

Students are required to self-test thrice weekly as of Monday.
