Students from primary, secondary schools parade on October 28 anniversary in Athens

The annual students parade on October 28 took part in Athens on Thursday after two years of cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic, commemorating the 1940 event known as Ochi Day.

A total of 235 schools primary and secondary schools in the first district of Athens took part in the parade, as the public watched from the sidewalks and traffic in the center was blocked off for the event's duration.

On the officials side, attending at Syntagma Square were Education & Religious Affairs Minister Niki Kerameus, Attica Regional Director George Patoulis, and Athens Mayor Kostas Bakoyannis.
