Extra perks for vaccinated to be offered as incentives on public transport, Karamanlis says

Additional perks and facilitations for vaccinated passengers will soon be announced as an incentive to persuade those using public transport to be vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Kostas Karamanlis announced on Monday, speaking on a ERT1 breakfast television programme.
"We are obliged to use persuasion and provide incentives. I am of this school of thought and consider it very useful to use logical arguments and sound reasoning to convince someone," he said.
Noting that two thirds of public transport users had travel cards, he said that an additional discount might be given for people who have been vaccinated against Covid-19.
He ruled out mandatory vaccination for public transport drivers, however, noting that they do not come into contact with passengers.
