Georgiadis rules out new lockdown that will restrict the vaccinated

"We have an increase in cases," Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis said on Friday in an interview with ANT1 TV, stating at the same time that "we are not seeing a corresponding pressure on the health system. We need to manage the increased transmissibility of the Delta variant calmly. We are starting with the measures we have already announced and we are monitoring the phenomenon."

Regarding the possibility of a universal lockdown, the minister said that "there will be no general lockdown again because those fully vaccinated are not in danger of ending up in an ICU. They are over 50 pct of the population. We can not restrict them. They have done their duty, they have been vaccinated and no one has the right to restrict them, to tell them to 'stay at home'".
