Restriction measures introduced in 5 villages of Thebes, Chalkida after woman is hospitalized with Covid-19

The Civil Protection General Secretariat strongly recommended that several communities in the area of Thebes and Chalkida, Evia observe restriction of movement and wear masks inside homes as well after a 63-year-old woman was hospitalized in NIMTS hospital in Athens with Covid-19.
The five villages the secretariat named are the communities of Mouriki, Platanakia, Ipato and Loutoufi (Thebes) and Loukissia (Chalkida).
Residents of these areas are being asked to remain home and avoid unnecessary travel and are to use masks both inside and outside the house, without exception. Students will not attend school, while residents of these communities that work in other towns must not go to work.
Along with the Labor and Social Security Ministry, it said that employers from the above areas must allow these absences from work without repercussions. All measures are to be observed until further notice, the secretariat said.
In addition, as of Thursday, four mobile units of the National Public Health Organization will be stationed at the villages for random testing.
