National health agency runs broad local testing as 24 employees test Covid-19 positive at Kavala meat-processing plant

Three medical teams of the National Public Health Organization (EODY) are on Saturday carrying out intense Covid-19 diagnostic tests and contact-tracing after 24 new cases were detected among employees at a meat-processing plant at Paggaio, near the city of Kavala, northern Greece.
All of the company's 140 employees will have been tested by end of Sunday, said EODY. Until results are released, the 24 positive employees will remain in home isolation.
The company undertook the cost of all the tests performed on the employees, at a private laboratory in Kavala.
