Woman from Somalia found positive with coronavirus at hosting facility in Kranidi

A 28-year-old pregnant woman from Somalia hosted at a hotel in the area of Kranidi, Peloponnese, that is operating under the supervision of the International Migration Organisation was found positive with coronavirus.
A Migration and Asylum Ministry team is already at the facility while Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi is expected to arrive shortly.
According to a Migration Ministry announcement, the woman went on Sunday to a hospital in Nafplion for another reason and underwent blood test for the coronavirus.
The result was positive and the woman was set in quarantine in her room without any symptoms.
The specific hotel was set in quarantine on Thursday for precautionary reasons as a member of the staff was found positive with coronavirus, who however, did not went to her work in the last 12 days.
470 asylum seekers, mostly from Africa, are staying in the hotel.
Additionally, the ministry said that on Saturday a 39-year-old woman from Sudan that was hosted in the same facility died. The ministry clarified that according to her medical file she was not infected with coronavirus.
