Migration Ministry: Coronavirus-prevention plan for hotspots implemented in March

The Migration and Asylum Ministry’s plan to prevent a coronavirus outbreak at refugee reception and accommodation centres - codenamed 'Agnodiki' - was put into effect in a timely manner, the Asylum Seekers Reception General Secretary Manos Logothetis said on Friday.
It was first implemented on March 23, when it was also decided to implement it at all the refugee faculties of mainland Greece, besides the North Aegean islands.
Logothetis referred to the Fylakio hotspot near Evros, northern Greece, where no Covid-19 infections have so far been recorded in a refuge population of 40,000 people, following the full observance of Agnodiki there.
