Petsas: Gov't considering 'cap' in duration of citizens' movements

Unfortunately a large part of the population that could have carried out their transactions with the bank from home prefers to go to the banks and this is a mistake," stated government spokesperson Stelios Petsas on Wednesday to ANT1 TV.
He also said that the government is examining the length of time allowed for citizens' movements, adding that most citizens have complied with the measures but there was still a part of the population that abused them.
"Greece adopted strict measures very quickly and that's why it has had a better progression in comparison with other countries. This is something we must protect and not become complacent. It is crucial to follow the instructions for the next two to three weeks," he underlined.
"As time passes there is a fatigue and we must defeat it. The information campaign is very important because it shows the citizens what we have gained, what we must safeguard and what we must continue to do. It is a very difficult measure, asking people to stay at home, but it is perhaps the first time in the human history that an opportunity is given to each one of us to become a hero. To save lives simply by staying at home," Petsas said.
