Suspicious envelope from India arrives at Corfu with recipient Ionion University

A suspicious envelope was located on Thursday at 11:00 at the post office of Corfu. The building has been cordoned off and strong police and fire brigade forces are at the spot.
According to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency sources, those who were inside the post office will be sent to a safe place (quarantine) according to the Chemical, Biological, Radioenergy and Nuclear Threats Plan that was entered into force while the suspicious envelope, that has not been opened yet, was sent from India with recipient Ionion University.
The envelope will be transferred by a special team to a safe place.
A similar envelope, also shipped from India, was sent on Wednesday to the Aegean University in Mytilene, which after being opened, provoked mouth and nasal irritation to employees that came in contact with it.
