Strong quake jolts Crete; 'Not related' to Sept. 27 quakes on Crete

A strong earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale was recorded at 12:24 on Tuesday, according to Athens National Observatory Geodynamics Institute.
The quake's epicentre was 23 km east of Zakros and its focal depth was 8.2 km.
No injuries or damages have been reported so far.

Light quake jolts Karpathos 

A light earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Ricther scale was recorded northwest of the island of Karpathos at 12:32. The quake was recorded a few minutes after the strong quake that hit Crete.
The Karpathos quake's focal depth was 12.5 km.

Meanwhile, a 4 Richter aftershock was recorded east of Zakros, Crete at 12:36.
