Spokesman Petsas on coronavirus: Government's health policy is for the long term

Commenting on Wednesday evening on Greece's first confirmed coronavirus Covid-19 patient in Thessaloniki, government spokesman Stelios Petsas said all should keep their calm, and stressed that the government's health policy the government's health policy was not short-term, for the first breakout case in Greece, but for longer term.
He said that in this case, all the steps were followed and that the experts' initial recommendation spoke of a mild disease.
Petsas stressed that people with diabetes, cardiovascular problems and the elderly should pay more attention to preventive measures, such as wearing masks.
Concerning a reported limited availability in face masks, he said these will again be made widely available with priority to health workers.
"Fortunately we have these made domestically," he noted.
