ANA has been and will be one of the main pillars of information, Kretsos says

"The Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA) has been and will be one of the main, if not the most basic, pillar of information, because it stands as a beacon of timely and credible information in a society where fake news prevail over real news," said Deputy Minister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Information Lefteris Kretsos, in his greeting at the Alliance of Mediterranean news agencies (AMAN) general assembly meeting.

Kretsos said that this is due to the management and the president of ANA, Michalis Psilos, but also to the employees who do everything to strengthen the voice of the news agency.

"Today we have too many Minotaurs to 'kill' in the information and the news agencies are at the forefront of the battle because they are the only ones who do not make discounts in the quality of the information. They are the only ones who invest in correspondents, and are everywhere covering all aspects of a story and strengthening the critical thinking of the citizens," added Kretsos.

The workshop and general meeting of AMAN is organised by the Athens-Macedonian News Agecy (ANA).
