EU Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos, whose name is mentioned in the Novartis case of corruption and bribery, said on Wednesday that he planned to brief the European Commission after having been informed about the "unsubstantiated" and "riddled with holes" case file.
In his most recent message related to the case, Avramopoulos said, "Today I learned about the contents of the unsubstantiated and riddled with holes case. It is now obvious that it is an unprecedented conspiracy that could not stand up in any European Union country."
He added, "On my side, I will proceed to the fully substantiated and analytic briefing of the president and members of the European Commission, and of European institutions."
